Wedding videography is at it's best when it captures the authentic and unscripted emotions of the day. As the videographer, we allow the photographer to direct most of the formal portraits and instead focus on inconspicuously filming the moments as they happen. We typically operate with photographers on an 80/20 split, where we only direct the couple occasionally when there is an opportunity for a uniquely video-oriented pose. When it comes to filming the ceremony and reception aspects of the day, we try to balance capturing stunning visuals with the guests' experience. We ensure that we are subtle in our technique while still creating a beautiful and memorable film. That being said, it's great to hear couples' opinions of how subtle they desire the filming experience to be prior to the wedding day.
